How do they score from the blue line? Through 3 or 4 people (not including the goalie)? It just seems absurd to me.
Also, Gonchar is a pretty fantastic last name. Nowhere near Ankipans territory, but possibly the best name of this game. That or Tootin. Or Tutin. Or whatever.
Although Luongo's pretty sweet too.
And for the record, its Tyutin.

Gonchar = awesome (possibly because he's a Penguin). I'm surprised you have nothing to say about the Swiss v. US game.
And it's called a slapshot. Of a deflected puck that gets lost in the masses. That is how you score from the blue line.
Was at work when it happened. So, I had to learn of the results from "Martin" via Google Chat on my phone...
