Mathematical Calculations!

I have spent today collecting empirical evidence to support my mathematical calculation that the quality of a weekend can be measured by the inverse of the percent of time spent not wearing pants.

Fact. I've published some articles that may support your arguments. Feel free to find it on PubMed and be sure to cite properly. One that can get you started:

"A Quantitative Analysis of Pantaloons and Their Effects on the Derived Pleasure During the Weekend." Albert et al, 2007.

Did your analyses include different potential pants possibilities?

Did your analysis also include a constant for the general pleasure derived from not working? Also, there needs to be a level of input based upon activities that require pants that can elevate the emotions greater than not wearing pants. For Dan, an Iron Maiden concert.

Dan, my work in '07 led to the start of some follow-on research on effects resulting from various forms of pants, shorts, etc. Some newly emerging trouser trends have evolved over the last few years which has been added to the evaluation, thus sliding the end of the project right. I'm hoping to publish soon now that pants are relatively 'constant' among folks.

Su, unfortunately this was a pant-specific study, although the evaluation of pleasure derived from the abstension of work would likely yield exciting results. I do, however, so great potential for research in the other areas you discuss - The positive negative affects in different environments while garbed in pants, both physically and mentally. If additional grant funding can be attained, perhaps we can collaborate.

We need to look into granting organizations Trevor. I am fairly certain the the national science foundation isn't going to fund this one... maybe a jeans company would...

And that's why there needs to be a National Science! Foundation. Because they'd be all over this.

Or perhaps the National SCIENCE! Foundation

I am thinking it would be SCIENCE! because it is just that cool.
