I probably should have said something about the fact that should I ever become President, my first two efforts will be to create a "National C. Everett Koop('s Beard) Day" and a "National Dr. Seuss Day".
Pretty sure I had this idea in high school, so this isn't just a passing infatuation with his beard... Not sure if that's really sad... But it probably is.
In related news to Rob's comment, Jesse Jackson came and gave some variety of speech at my high school. Somehow I ended up in the front row (or maybe the second row; Can't really remember, but it was pretty dang close up). As I was sitting there, I realized I had some cookies in my pocket. When it came time for questions from the audience, I was contemplating asking him if he wanted a cookie.
But I didn't. Mainly because I didn't really want to share my cookies. I'm pretty sure they were "Fudge Stripe" type cookies. Which are pretty tasty.
Probably should add an overview of my blog for all my intrepid reader(s).
Basically, its a blog about my rather eclectic interests. So far, its ranged from movies, to TV, to music, to Formula 1, to carrots. And as such, you should be prepared to be spoiled on anything I'm watching at the time. Especially the carrots. It'll give you a good reason to stay up to date on your TV.
And my blog posts are very stream-of-consciousness, so expect wild changes in topics, and random interspersed profanity and randomness.

Darn you spam filter for not catching the first comment.
Now I can't be insensitive because they already were.
He came to my school many years ago to do a speech. Was comical as I think he had never been to a real rural country school before.he looked scared.

Is it bad that I remember the type of cookie better than where I was sitting?
No, they were cookies. And fudge stripe are some of the best.
